Cleaning & Sanitizing Protocols
We are dedicated to providing a clean and safe environment for our guests to safely visit with enhanced sanitization and safety practices throughout the guest journey:
- Guest Rooms: The use of stringent cleaning and disinfecting protocols to clean rooms post departure, pre-arrival, and during stays, with particular attention paid to high-touch items. Such items include electrical switches, door handles/ knobs, TV remotes, telephones, clocks, thermostats, telephones, major bathroom surfaces and amenities, Jacuzzis, irons, safes, kitchen appliances, food & beverage amenities, tables, desks, furniture, nightstands, beds, and bedding.
- Public Areas: A variety of wall-mounted, and free-standing sanitizer stations are strategically located throughout the Resort, especially in high-traffic areas. There is increased cleaning and sanitizing of high-contact items within public areas, for example, credit card machines, lounge chairs and restaurant furnishings. Areas such as the fitness centre, elevators, door handles and public bathrooms are cleaned and sanitized on a scheduled basis throughout the day.
- Non-Guest Areas: Increased cleaning and sanitization of high-touch team member areas such as entrances, bathrooms, administrative offices, staff cafeteria etc.
Following the guidelines of the Ministry of Health of Barbados, for ongoing mosquito prevention, fogging occurs throughout the resort on Fridays between 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM. The fog is harmless to you and we kindly ask that you open your room to allow the fog to enter.
In the unlikely event that an emergency evacuation is necessary, the alarm system will be triggered mandating a full evacuation of the hotel. Our staff will direct you to an emergency assembly point. Please remain in the specified area and await further communication from the Emergency Team.
In the unlikely event of a fire, please remain calm. Use the stairs to move as quickly as possible outside the buildings and proceed to the exterior parking area. Do not use the elevators.
The Crane has a sophisticated central fire alarm system that will shut down all elevators automatically. Please read and familiarize yourself with the Fire Alarm and Exit Route information that can be found in your room posted on the back of the main entrance door to your residence.
Safety Deposit Box
Each guest room has its own safe. Instructions for operating the safe are affixed to the safe in your room for reference. Upon check-out, please collect all your valuables and leave the safe door open. If you need any further assistance, please contact the Front Desk at ext. 6505. The Crane is not responsible for valuables that are not properly stored in safety deposit boxes.
